What's your opinion on Donohue?

Like Donahue, appeared as a sub a couple of times last season and could see he knew how to cross a ball and had a bit of pace about him. Same was said for Danny O'Brien though and we let him walk to Aston Villa without offering him any kind of deal!

Out and out wingers have been royally lacking in this U18 team for the past 4 years that I've watched them. There must be a reason for that, modern tactics i suspect.

This is the time of year as well where the U16 lads are told if they're getting a scholarship or being released from Everton, so the ones we've offered deals to will be given a chance to show their stuff a few months before they join full time in the summer. The likes of Liam Walsh, Michael Donahue, Tom Davies, Delial Brewster et al. (Kieran Dowell has already been involved) not to mention the fact that we've barely got any U21 team to speak of so everyone moves up a group. U16s play for U18s who play for U21s.

It's great they're getting exposure, but it's a combination of circumstances at this time of year. I'd never read too much into it if a 16 year old plays for the U21s.

cheers for the info @swisso, would it not be best for such things to be left until after the season? could derail their title challenge with a few of the team so down?

great to see them performing not only beyond their years, but performing so well.

Callum Dyson has often affected games positively in the match highlights I've seen, looks like he might be a good player in the future, think he plays on the wing or upfront.
