Everton Youth Teams Thread

That famous Southampton academy mustn't be up to much these days.
Have to say having seen them via Southampton tv the last few times they've played us that that's the poorest I've seen them . They had two fixtures last week , Monday and Thursday I think in that PL2 cup thingy that we are in , may have been that. But not to take anything away from our lads tonight though.

Koeman watched that and probabaly thought " Yep Unsy was right, I don't need anymore defensive cover til next season, I might not play them unless I need them for injury cover but Pennington, Kenny and Robinson could step up with a bit more first team squad exposure"

I think either way we would be covered for the rest of the season on defense with Holgate and Jags on the bench. He does need another stud CB though desperately. Although it may show him that we don't need anything else on CBs besides the one stud. (Having Williams/Funes Mori + Penngington) is enough cover for Jags' spot.

just got back from the game and I thought we were absolutely superb. Such a well drilled professional unit who are a credit to Unsworth.

I thought Antonee Robinson was absolutely fantastic tonight, got up and down that wing so many times I lost count and put in some terrific balls. Same as Kenny on the opposite side. Even if some of these lads don't make it with us, the majority of this lot will be playing championship football at worst.

2 lovely goals tonight and should have been more.

Think they only need a point away at city next game and they have the title pretty much wrapped up.
If we beat man city, the most points they get is 47,we would go on 44 points off course with a win there, our next game after city is away to Derby 13th march -,then a long wait till next game, home to spurs on april 10th

Like to see some of these lads coming off the bench this season instead of Lennon, Kone, Valencia, McCarthy etc and see how they get on.
