Everton Youth Teams Thread

We're building a 250 seater stand, absolutely nothing like Citys academy.

Again, I was going to post it earlier but was just hoping we'd have enough to pinch something but that team tonight is just not good enough to win a game like that this.

If we'd replaced Bangamime, Feeney, Dufus and Charlsley, with Davies, Holgate, DCL & Lookman it would have been a close game which we'd probably edge but that's the standard we're talking here. 4 first teasers required to get a result.

Our u18s are not good enough and not the same level as City's.
Didnt we beat city in November?

...I'm sure Man City would prefer to be in our position. If there's one thing this team have got it's spirit. I thought tonight they were stuck between a rock and a hard place, not sure whether to settle for a draw or go for goal. They have come unstuck against quality.

Feeney followed the ball and not his man for the first, the 2nd had a hint of hand ball but the boy finished with aplomb.

The u21 set up right now is a mid table side. Some of the quality we had earlier in the season is in the first team or on loan.

I think they'll win it but they'll do well to do so from here.

The club themselves won't really be that arsed but I've heard Unsworth is, he really wants it on his cv.

nothing clicked tonight and we looked really poor plus I think Unsworth was slow to make his subs this evening as Duffus and Williams were really poor up top.

BUT....still 3 points clear with a good goal difference so we are still in the driving seat and hopefully tonight was just one of those nights that all teams have

As much as I like Kenny and Robinson it doesn't half make me respect Baines and Coleman more for how good they are going both ways. Kenny has minimal attacking influence and Robinson only marginally more.

Without trying to sound UKIP, how many of these are actually mancs, or even British players?
Sorry, City fan - just wondered over here cos someone linked to it and thought i'd answer this.

GK - Gunn - English
DF - Latibeaudiere, Adarabioyo, Humphreys - all English, two Mancs, one from Sheffield.
MF - Kongolo (Dutch), Smith (Welsh, but from midlands) Boadu (English, from London) Fernandes (Spain) Sancho (English) Nemane (English)
FW - Brahim (Spanish)

Subs - Nmecha (English) Ambrose (French) Duhaney (English)

So 9 out of 14 involved are English, 10 if you wanna include the Welsh lad as home nations. Two Spanish, one French, one Dutch. The two unused subs were English, both born in Manchester.

Fair enough it was a poor performance by us tonight, but I think there has been a overreaction. We are still 3 points clear and up till last week, we had a strong set up at this level and a number of players ready to challenge for first team places, whereas after tonight's performance they are rubbish not ready blah, blah, blah. I guess the truth lies somewhere in between.

5th placed Everton u18s [they end 5th] play there last "championship" [normal league game] v wolves home saturday morning with a 11.30 ko,before they then move into the middle play off/2nd tier [games between 5th place to 8th] for the last couple of months, teams and score as ever comming soon

We never had a strong set last week RB, we haven't had a strong set for 2 months. We've just got by and got some decent results along the way but we're miles away from the team who won games with authority earlier in the season.

I would have called this result earlier today if I was being honest but as an Evertin fan I didn't want to be negative whilst there was 90 mins ahead of us.
