Has Henen progressed much of late? I see he is in the team again today but I dont often see his name on the scoresheet.
I think he has two goals and an assist thus far. Not a bad return over five or so matches.

Sounds like he had a good game today in the U21s loss to Leicester despite not managing to score.Has Henen progressed much of late? I see he is in the team again today but I dont often see his name on the scoresheet.

Looks like he very early on became good friends with Galloway which has probably helped him settle fast and he does seem to be working hard which as you say was a problem for him in the past. Perhaps he just needed time to mature a bit - easy to understand how the hype can go to any players head let alone a young lad. At least with us he has several other players like Ledson who are also praised but dealing with it well to act as a reference.Yeah noticed him popping up a lot on the twitter commentary.

Be interested to see if he makes the senior squad next season. Was reading up on him and he was a massively rated prospect a couple years ago - like proper hype - but apparently it went to his head a lot and he lost his way.
Was a very deliberate strategy putting him in the under 21s on loan it seems. Looks like they said to him 'we'll give you the chance to be a star, but you have to show you want to work for it. Work hard in the u21s for a year, show you're willing to graft with no media spotlight, and we'll make the loan permanent.'
Very telling that he hasn't been mentioned at all by RM or anything I think.

From the way he is progressing and how he has fitted in, hope we do make the loan permanent.

@everton: GOAL! Everton 2-0 West Ham. Connolly bundles the ball home from close range after Grant's corner caused havoc in the area. #EFCU21
Connolly getting a good scoring record for a fullback
Unsworth doing a great job with the U-21s. Finished 2-0. We're now 2nd, joint top with Chelsea. They have a slightly better goal difference. We're also 4 points ahead of 8th placed Liverpool. "Gonna get the next Stevie G from the Academy laaaaa!"
Unsworth doing a great job with the U-21s. Finished 2-0. We stay 6th, but we're only 3 points off leaders Southampton, with a game in hand on all 5 teams above us. We're also 4 points ahead of 8th placed Liverpool. "Gonna get the next Stevie G from the Academy laaaaa!"

Not sure what we do with our fullbacks but it certainly seems to be working.Including England goals it must be approaching double figures for the season, all from open play.
