Evertons fixture congestion.

the Man City game is going to be the hardest one to fit in as you'd expect them to go very far in Europe.

I don't know if UEFA have changed their knockout schedule this year to help with the pandemic or not. The last 16 of the champions league used to be played over 2 weeks but they changed it several years ago now to split the games over 4 weeks so they could give more games better TV coverage.

So maybe we will play man City in one of those two spare weeks otherwise it's unlikely we will be able to fit it in until close to the end of the season. UEFA did relax the rules over domestic leagues being able to play on the same night as UEFA games which will help. But if there are too many more postponements it will be a struggle to get it finished on May 23rd.

I can't see UEFA agreeing to move or delay the EURO 2020 tournament again so simply the domestic leagues will have to be played/squeezed in somehow.

Potentially we could play Man City twice as our last two games of the season which would put a certain team into a meltdown as we very rarely have anything to play for by then but this season could be different.

My heart bleeds for them. Must be a proper nightmare sometimes having to work really hard for 3 hours a week and be paid astonishing amounts of money for it. Most people work really hard for at least 40 hours a week and still struggle to make ends meet and have to take on more hours or more jobs.

Fixture congestion indeed, they have only got to fit 2 postponed games in and they have even got some of their fans feeling sorry for them about it. lol

I am certain they will manage just fine lads. ;)

Seen this on twitter it's a joke how it's worked out. Going have to wrangle in City and Villa after this mess too. Our fixture list since our last game busy schedule coming up.

Aren't we lucky with DCL out, James, Digne, Coleman, Richy just back from injury? Time to work on the training ground - esp for Davies to learn how to play better in Allan's position, working out who's gonna replace Doucoure properly (maybe it's time for Holgate or Godfrey to play in midfield as a back up) ...I'm sure ANcelotti is using this time...from that list above, I'm looking to bo unbeaten for sure, and i'm more afraid of Leeds & Newcastle than the other 2 big ones, to see if we're still slipping up against the teams we should be beating

You do realise that they train for longer when they’re not playing.
A match day they work for less time,
if it’s ‘time on the job’ measure people want.

There are two arguments, one is that the poor lambs are paid a fortune and do not deserve sympathy if asked to play 3 times per week. The other is that they are highly tuned athletes who cannot be expected to perform well so often without rest and put themselves at risk. The answer is probably somewhere between the two. The farce of this season's unavoidable fixture chaos hopefully will not be repeated in years to come.

euro 2020 doesn’t have a venue at the moment. No way it happens as scheduled
