You reach an age where you can’t keep making the music you used to make and be taken seriously. Everyone in Weezer is 50+ now. These new albums are just sad.

Pinkerton is an excellent concept album.
Saw them at George Mason University about twenty years ago.
Not a great concert iirc
Saw Phish at Hampton Coliseum in ‘98 or ‘99. Can only remember playing hacky-sack outside the arena. The rest is very hazyIt's weird isn't it, great music ≠ great albums ≠ great concerts. A guy I worked with once told me he didn't like the Strokes because their concerts were terrible. I had an acquaintance who saw Better than Ezra probably 100 times (slight overkill). Let's not even begin to discuss Phish...
Fantastic album to be fair. Sad to say but how many bands are actually at the top of their game anymore? And going back how many really churn out great stuff for 20+ years? My dad always says he stopped listening to the Stones new stuff after 1981 but that doesn't mean the good stuff isn't still some of the greatest music ever written.
Some dude once said it's better to burn out than fade away. True words.
I don't know why Weezer get it in the neck for continuing to make albums. They obvs enjoy it. Blue, Pinkerton, Maladroit and Green album are more good albums than most bands ever manage. I liked Make Believe too actually. Leave them alone and let them make their crap albums ffs
Is possibly the worst take I've ever seen on this Internet forum.I want to cry a little that the same person who wrote the Blue album and Pinkerton is churning out album after album of wet garbage.
