well done, welts! (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

you are now about to start one of the best chapters in your life!:D

oh- if i could re-run my uni years!!!

Cheers mate :) (y)

That general studies examiner must've been an Evertonian  Or they could just have known nothing about football and presumed I knew what I was on about. In which case, they were wrong clearly...

:( D E U. Pathetic that. Gutted

D Communications Studies
E Geography
U History. Somehow I failed it. Was so sure I was going to be alright in that!

Sorry to hear that too, but if you tried your best then at least you can hold your head high. 2 C's is quality anyway! Im sure your Uni will let you in with that. The 2 C's surely even out the E you got (y) I cant say I did my best though. Got cocky coz I walked GCSE's without trying and now Im gettin twatted for it!

dom, don't panic. you will still be able to get in with those results. and as nik said you did well anyway.

nik, you screwed up in your eyes. but you can still get in to uni with those grades. and trust me, nobody ever asks me what i got for my a levels at job interviews. the only thing people are interested in is your uni score. you have to get your head down (with a bit of fun no doubt along the way!) and do yourself justice at uni getting a 1st class with honours.

if you get into one of the old poly's and you ace your first semester you can even transfer to a 'red brick' uni in your first year. a good mate of mine did this and he never looked back. so it's all up to you.

good luck to all of you!

Sounds familiar . Aced GSCEs across the board, only turned up for about half the year in the upper 6th as I had other things to do that I thought were more important at the time and got A D E N (the A was General Studies, no revision required ). So I joined the RAF, after a couple of years took my commission (2 A-levels at any Grade is all you need) saw the world, had a couple of wars, left after 9 or so years with sufficient experience to walk into a Project Management Consultancy style job. Am now self employed and very happy with the way it's all panned out.

Whatever you decide to do, these A Level results aren't going to be enough to stop you, trust me (y)

Dom are those AS levels?

If so you have absolutely no need to panic. My AS results were total gash, it's in the upper sixth that you make it up. If you'd told me this time last year that I'd get the A level results I did, I'd say you were a nutjob! Seriously, you'll be quality next year mate (y)

EDIT - aha, just looked back a page. Maths, Chemistry, Biology. Those are some of the hardest subjects so C's after AS is very very good. I originally took Maths but swapped after 2-3 weeks as it was way too hard for me! If you've been able to stick with it then that sounds promising to me (y)
