FA badge rebrand

In which case I redact my rant and look on approvingly.
 
I don't mean to come across too deep or political here but I couldn't give a flying [Poor language removed].
 
First, it won't be on the senior kits. So it's a case of 'whatever' in many ways.

Second, it's bloody stupid. Really, really stupid. This is what happens when organisations think they have to do something woke, no matter how tokenistic, just to jump on the bandwagon.

Third, you can't make an inclusive badge anyway. It's quite literally impossible. There's no LGBTQ representation in that badge. Or different ethnicities. Or religions. So by making a call to exclude those people, and by highlighting the aim is to 'include', you're actually being more exclusionary and bigoted through the decision to consciously exclude other things.

Not only that, by still having the usual Three Lions available, they're basically saying anyone who wears it isn't inclusive and is, therefore by default, a bigot.

Good marketing.

So they've created a problem that literally didn't exist. Nobody looked at the badge and thought 'that's anti-women that' - only they did. They've dug their own hole.

You mean all the posters that have been complaining about virtue signalling and people getting upset about nothing, have just been virtue signalling and getting upset about nothing?

I wonder if they will ever see the irony?

Mate, it's a drawing of 3 animals. Don't give yourself a hernia over it.

It only becomes an issue if people start getting their knickers in a twist and going to extremes to justify their outrage.
Calm down, have a cup of tea and maybe contemplate why you are so fixated about LGBTQ animals

But it's not just that. These things are constantly happening, insidious, a 'thousand cuts' scenario.

Even those who applaud genuine diversity/representation should be annoyed by this, as it's tokenism instead. It devalues everything by proxy.
