FA CUP 3RD ROUND DRAW DETAILS

Could have been worse but I still wish we could have gotten something easier. Had we got one of these lower league clubs we could have rested the main team and given some of the kids a run-out. This is another game we'll have to field our strongest XI to win.

It's like the League Cup all over again. Strong Premier League opposition. We will lose unless we treat them with respect and play a strong team.

So we will lose.

The only two times I can recall us playing West Ham they won both times.

In the semi final of 1980 and a 6th Round tie at the Boleyn circa 1991.

Can't be afraid of the quality of West Ham if Everton has any ambition. Hope Goodison is rocking for this one.

Simulated the draw and - unsurprisingly ...

RS v Brighton (yeah, again, and yeah, at home)
Hull v Arsenal
Chelsea - as per usual - at home to lower league (Bury or Luton)
Bolton v Man U
Sunderland v Spurs
Tranmere v Chester (if they both win)

and, typically

Everton v Man City

RS did indeed get the obligatory easy tie - albeit away.
Hull are playing Arsenal - albeit away
Chelsea did get the easy home draw
Man U local away to lower league side

Everton got top-line oppos at home.

We've had some terrible results against West Ham in the FA cup in my lifetime, we owe them one big time. Stuart Slater's first and last match of the match performance was the last one, before that was the cup semi when they were in the 2nd division for Pete's sake. Nolan, Carroll and Big Sam - see yers!
