FA CUP DRAW ROUND 5

Shame for Maidstone, they were so close to a dream draw against City. 3 possible teams left to get and they miss both the Prem teams

Not sure it is a dream draw. It's not exactly a vintage football ground and they'd just get tanked and get about 2% possession all game.

Going to Hillsborough would be prestigious and they'd at least have a chance against them or Coventry. Two big away allocations as well.

Bit over dramatic there Joey mate.
We struggle to score we look like a relegation team ATM - all could change I hope it will- I saw HK as a player the last of the Holy Trinity save us one season a midfielder who was MOTM most games save us in the 1970s as Captain he gelled the poor team to safety -
I just hope our fortunes change on & off the field !

I’m fairly sure that the Maidstone Utd players would rather be able to tell their grandkids in 20 years time that they once shared a football pitch with the likes of De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Haaland, instead of *checks notes* Ellis Simms

I watched a bit of semi pro football in the old days - I saw quite a few teams enjoyable football to watch plus you could stand etc I saw three CF better than what we have now - who did go on to lower league levels - they were dynamite in front of goal one CF Barry Hales made it in the Premier League signed by Kevin Keegan he was at Stevenage - a few non league players like Ian Wright came in from non league - The CF at West Ham looks finished now he worked in a leisure centre etc ....
Some non league players are part-time & if they have a well paid job, refuse to turn professional in case they fail - our scouting system must be poor - The Catt use to watch players in an old mackintosh a cap & glasses in disguise - he was moderating a certain Howard Kendall - for 2 seasons knowing he would be VFM - what an understatement that was on the pitch & off it ....
Now we just watch a video or CD & sign expensive duds IMO....
