FA Cup Final

Well done Leicester
Just think there's players you could barely put a name to, walking round with both a League Winners and Cup Winners medal, but fairplay to them they did it - we didn't, we've just fannied about since 1995.
Plenty of somebodies need a severe arse kicking for that.

but that's the only four they have ever won in 137 years, we have 24 in 143 years, wouldn't swap our history for one that started in 1964
Maybe I would. If my life I've seen us win one FA Cup. I don't really care about how good we were years before I was born. Now we are a very average Premier League club and Leicester are a very good trophy-winning one. I'd swap that in a heartbeat.

So you think having won things before many of your fans were born is better than having won things during their lifetime? This isn't meant at a dig at Everton, who are a fantastic club with a rich history, but that is a bizarre way of thinking.

Couldn't give a monkies what we won before I was born and certainly don't care about what we win after I die. What I care about is the fact in about 25 or so years I've seen us win League One, The Championship, Two League Cups, the FA Cup and the premier league. I was there lizing it, not looking at black and white pictures of something I can't relate to.

Leicester had never won the Cup and can you imagine the pain, especially for their older supporters if they'd lost?
The failures in the other finals has been passed down through the generations, the FA cup meant everything to Leicester fans. Even more so after we won the league as it was needed to complete the set.

I'm sure how much it meant came across on the TV. What a day.

I see where you coming from - luckily for me I've witnessed 2 leagues, 2 Fa cups and a European CWC and all in colour btw.

I give a monkeys what Everton won as it is part of our history, just because I never saw it live does not mean it means any less to me. I enjoy seeing the clips of Dixie running around with the trophy, the holy trinity, etc. I don't sit there thinking, well I wasn't born so it does not matter. It is a bit egotistic of you to say that you do not consider anything before you were born worthy of mentioning ;)

The present is more important as you do get to see it live, don't get me wrong. Although alive in the 80's I only really caught the backend, in relation to any memory, so consciously I have only seen us win 1 FA Cup so I have that memory but I also enjoy, as mentioned, the history of Everton. As the song goes 'If you know your history'.
