I’ll take the win and enjoy it, into the draw for round 4. An awful lot of questions still asked of us today, 5 at the back is stupid, we can’t do it, even against the team at the bottom of then championship. The defending at set pieces is absolutely horrible. Both wing backs struggled, two in midfield is a problem for us.

We looked much better when Doucoure came on and we went flat back 4 with 3 in midfield. Alan had one of his better games as did Gomez. We should have had 2 or 3 penalties, but, Gomez was a lucky boy to stay on, that elbow was naughty.

On to Leicester, if it goes ahead, hopefully with their injury problems we can get a handy 3 points and follow it up with a win at Norwich. That would do nicely. Went with Grey as my MOTM.

After 45 seconds I thought we were dead and buried, and RB was thinking P45. For the first 10 minutes Hull were the PL side and we were League 2. But fair play we managed to scrape through.

MoM was definitely Demarai Gray with Anthony Gordon a close second, but I had to give my vote to Andre Gomes, I never thought I'd see him score with a diving header, and I thought he played better today than he has for months, if not years.

I'm just glad that's a box ticked and hope we get a nice home draw in the next round.

Finally, Kevin Friend is, like most of his colleagues, a terrible nit-picking referee.

Still can understand why he took Gordon off, was having a decent game, and we had a balance with him and gray which was forcing them back with their pace
You obviously have no idea of the physical effort required by in particular young players when they are heavily involved in the game. Taking Gordon off indicated to me that he's starting on Tuesday. Particularly as Townsend was only just fit to make the bench today.
