Well obviously our brilliant organisers didn't expect to beat Boreham Wood. Otherwise they wouldn't have scheduled a Thursday night game in advance.
Then again Everton Luck (TM) kicked in and we got a trip to London as opposed to home or Monday night.. (perfect for the fans, not!) and the probable reason it's not Monday is because it just isn't attractive enough.
The odds were 50% home and a further 3/7 of a reasonably close away game (4/7 to either London, Southampton or Boro). I guess only Southampton would have been more inconvenient.
And, typically, they have bent over double to accept the early kick off.
