The name Fabian Delph is actually ancient Roman/Latin.

Fabian actually translates into ‘jarg hard man bottle job’.... and it originates in the Delph dynasty which can be traced back to the catholic flower worshipers led by Pope Guardioli

Fabian used to be a singer/actor back in the 50s and 60s.

He appeared with John Wayne in North To Alaska.

I get the strong personality ....but by engaging with the fan the way he did he did, in my view he has seriously misjudged the strength of feeling by fans towards the performance on Sunday.

To ridicule the lads post by saying he would ask for a photo instead of telling him to his face summed up the arrogance and contempt to being called out. I get he is hurt and embarrassment - I would be too if thats him giving his all.

if Delph is to speak with the passion as he does today, it would land better with me had hIs personal performance on Sunday shown the same desire and credibility. His willingness and offer to have his photo with our starstruck fans in the Anney Road at the end of the game falls as flat today as would have done then.

His comments are at best ill judged and way out of touch with the hurt being felt by the team he has the privilege to of playing for. I can’t see him coming back from this.

Hes either playing next game and has to turn in a top performance...or hes out the door i think.

He got folded on twitter, theres no come back for him now

lol

People underestimate Blues fans... if we never had a deep rooted love for our club.... like loads of fans nowadays some would end up supporting Liverpool. But we don't..... we endure it.

Sadly there are too many fans now who think the highlight of supporting Everton is a top 7 spot and a forward who scores 15 goals... because they are under 40 and they don't know any better. Because they've not witnessed the brilliance of this club at the very top. This is why the board and others at the club have been allowed to get away with sub standard performance.... if we had the odd smattering of a league or cup win then the expectations rise and so does the appropriate reaction to pathetic performance on and off the pitch.

The loss to Liverpool, players arguing with Dunc about carlos tactucs, Delph having his spat with a fan and a mob turning up at finch farm is hitting rock bottom ...... as painful and messy as it may be - it needs to happen. There is a deep rooted apathy in our club and only things like this will kick some arses into gear.

I'm actually happy that the fan was able to get a rise from Delph.... it means that a nerve has been hit. It was made public, the players no longer feel safe to do their 70% effort.... like they were afforded under Silva.

This bunch of mercenaries would get the most successful manager in European football sacked if allowed.
