I don't think their midfield are even involved in the match, they're basically defenders punting hail marys

You are right but I think we need to put them under as much pressure as they will put us. This is a rare time I would actually like to go toe to toe.

I wouldn't personally, but he did show that he's a good squad player in the League cup games. I think he will get some starts tbh. Totally agree regarding Gylfi too. I wanted rid of him this season, but he looks totally different this one.

Haha, did think it was a bit of a random shout!! As you’ve roped me in, for what it’s worth, agree he did play well in league cup. Easily best he’s played for us but was against lower levels. If he can stay fit, will get chances over the season and could be decent cover for Allan/Doucoure... never thought i’d be saying that last season.

Sorry mate. Totally agree with what you say, but I think he'll do ok for us when required.
Just hope it's not too often.......
 
I think he's probably done better than Gomes this season. Unfortunately Gomes just doesn't look like the same player he was when he first came into the team and started bossing the midfield.

Interesting option, hadn’t really thought about it but now that I do, it could work. I’d really only thought the options were Bernard or Siggi to replace Gomes but Doucoure’s a different profile in that role. Gomes is under pressure for sure, nice to have options.
