He was good when he came on, mind you he’s always been a competent player, no more, no less. The problems with Delph are his diabolical injury record, his big time Charlie attitude and the fact that he is a complete bell.

Delph in 45 minutes showed why the job of the manager is so difficult.
Delph is a very good player but certainly not a world beater but he did show us clearly what a competent midfielder can do for a team.
I think it also shows Allan has huge limitations without a partner like Doucoure or Delph.

My belief is we need a third midfielder playing until at least Doucoure is back.

Remember this lad is out of contract in about 6 months..and with the club not spending money, a few back to back performance like this will get him a 2 year extension...just goes to show how far this club has fallen

Hopefully not. However if he is motivated to showcase himself to future employers then it could work in our favour. No phoning it in, no taking 6 weeks out for a sore pinky and perhaps some end product and we might both end up where we want to be. Apart...with us in a better league position.
