Fabian Delph

The difference in class when he came on was really quite frightening

He didn't even do anything particularly outstanding he just did the basic things correctly

Good first touch and looked to play the correct pass within the time before it's too late and he is closed down

Why can less than 40% of our team do that? It's basic

Delph in 45 minutes showed why the job of the manager is so difficult.
Delph is a very good player but certainly not a world beater but he did show us clearly what a competent midfielder can do for a team.
I think it also shows Allan has huge limitations without a partner like Doucoure or Delph.

My belief is we need a third midfielder playing until at least Doucoure is back.

The best 45mins of football he has played in his Everton career, I mean , I know that's not a hard milestone to achieve and he'll probably be out for a month now, but fair play

One of the best halves from an Everton player i've seen in years. Ran the show. Turned the game on its head almost single handedly from the first half battering.

I don't know if it's just playing for a contract, but what an asset to have if he keeps that level up.

One of the worst signings ever - and that's saying something with the dross we've had to get used to. Give him away - or pay someone to take him. He is useless. Please get rid.

Remember this lad is out of contract in about 6 months..and with the club not spending money, a few back to back performance like this will get him a 2 year extension...just goes to show how far this club has fallen

Hopefully not. However if he is motivated to showcase himself to future employers then it could work in our favour. No phoning it in, no taking 6 weeks out for a sore pinky and perhaps some end product and we might both end up where we want to be. Apart...with us in a better league position.
