Missed 74 games through injury in 4 years at City.

We give him a 3-year deal.

He's since missed 56 games through injury - and counting - in 2.5 years with us.

Who could possibly have foreseen that? :dodgy:

Remember all the "£8,000,000 quid transfer fee, £100k+ per week wages for 3 years...It's a no-brainer, he's a winner and a leader" shouts?
Signed him purely off a 20 second clip from an Amazon documentary

Everton that

Not sure he is crap...just a sick note...if it wasn't for his injury he would be a very useful player
The point is, his injury record prior to joining us was there for all to see. We should never have signed him on the basis that he is injury prone. It's like paying good money for a clapped-out car and then being surprised that parts keep failing and it hardly ever works. It's called due diligence.
I would be fed up to constantly having to train in the gym for most of the year...
I'm sure the £100,000 a week wages softens the blow.

I have posted this earlier but with a wife and daughter as nurses earning SFA and putting their lives on the line, this is despicable and is now starting to kill our Club. My daughter just got through Covid.

Broken blinking toenails has these out.

So flipping angry at this squad.

Not sure he is crap...just a sick note...if it wasn't for his injury he would be a very useful player. What we do not know is how rigorous he is working himself back to full fitness each time...I would be fed up to constantly having to train in the gym for most of the year...
But it is for his injury record so he isn’t a very useful player. Whether he doesn’t get on the pitch because he’s crap or doesn’t get on the pitch because he’s constantly injured comes to the same thing…he’s not on the pitch doing anything for Everton and contributing nothing. That’s been the case for three years. What top club has an expensive player do nothing for three years and then makes excuses for them? An embarrassing failure of a signing, predictably so, paid a fortune and will slink off with a bigger wallet for having been here, fair play to him. Doesn’t deserve excuses made for him and doesn’t get much sympathy from me, he’s done nothing for our club…except as you say, make sure the gym equipment was well used but that’s hardly the benchmark of a successful signing. We could have just bought him a gym membership and saved ourselves a whole kid of money.

With a few short months he will form part of the history of our club along with another three or four who are out of contract.

I would prefer to look to the future rather than the past, hoping at the same time we have learned from our mistakes.

He could redeem himself in part by playing a part in our survival in the coming games but that is wishful thinking probably.

If we're relying on him to come in and make a difference we're in trouble. Not been good enough or fit enough since since signing, would much rather promote a youth player playing regular football
