Fabian Delph

I actually think he’s a good player, but everything which comes with him (and the same applies to Yerry Mina) injury wise, completely writes him off.

No one knows if he’s actually got the heart or the desire to play,so can’t comment on that.

But the fella is made of biscuit and we can never rely on him. £80,000+ a week for a player who’s barely made 20 appearances for us… up there with one of the most Everton signings along with Tosun.

30 league games (including sub appearances) in 3 seasons. Jesus.

Maybe not, but he's no better than the other options regardless.
More snap in the tackle than all of them
More comfortable on the ball
Better range of passing
More disciplined in his position

Yes he's a whopper and i cant wait to see the back of him but ability wise when fit he's ok, and ok is enough to walk into our midfield

I'm with you here.

I mean, Delph is demonstrably appalling. But let's face it: he's competing for a place with players who are...demonstrably appalling. So Lampard may as well have a wider selection of poison to pick from. Well, until Delph breaks down after 17 minutes against Burnley...

He doesn’t hide when he plays. I’d be very glad he started against against Burnley

I don't see it.

He was a good player for a season at Villa, God knows how many years ago now.

I actually thought he'd be an alright signing at the time, but he's got very little about him, which is probably why City only used him as an emergency full-back (and even that was only because he happens to be left-footed).

Well I think he can sit deeper than Allan and Doucoure, hold his position and form a better than decent midfield trio, he doesn’t panic, uses the ball well and in the few, very few, games he has played the other players have responded to him and have seemed to have a bit more confidence in their own game, BUT he can only stay fit for so long.without missing his friend in the treatment room, glass legs Mina.

You must be seeing things that are above my pay grade.

To me, he's a nothing player.

and to think of the outrage on here when people realised James could only play half a season.....

Odds on to get a red card Wednesday then.....
