Fail to Prepare. Prepare to Fail

I didn't bother with today.

Took an afternoon nap from 2 to 3 and then watched an entertaining hour of "Mega Shipbuilding" or some such like on Discovery.

The club is beyond salvageable in its current form. There's very, very little to get behind and identify with.

They're caught in a spiral now trying to undo years and decades worth of harm and it's caught up.

I don't fear relegation because the club is a shell of its former self and a sham as a football club.

We exist, and that existence is becoming increasingly miserable. I'll keep "following" but they're not taking me down with them.

From the owner down, it’s that simple.

He’s employed the cretins that are now drowning out club in mediocrity.

Until this changes, we will continue to fail.

Nothing else to say.
But if you have ownership that has no clue about footie, they have to employ people they think have got a clue. People can blame Moshiri all they like, but he probably rues the day he met BK. I mean look at Boehly at Chelsea, how much has he spent and they finished 12th? He’s probably thinking, why TF is everyone raving about this soccer ball, it’s bankrupting me.

Exactly how I feel Bri, it’s heartbreaking. I only really come in here for a laugh on the ’Post funny stuff’ thread

This isn't a blip, or the players trying to find their feet. It's Everton FC simply carrying on the same gash form -- off and on the pitch -- since the relegation scare of 2021/22.

The first 2 fixtures will be a pattern for the rest of the season: Everton will lose to poor teams by the odd goal as they did to Fulham, and will also lose heavily against good teams like Villa.

Just as they have for the past 2 seasons, Everton must rely on 3 other teams who are worse than they are to remain in the EPL.

We're a basket case club, whose luck is about to run out.

Understandable , I kind of feel similar

Have you noticed how the headlock claim which was an absolute disgraceful example of pure shame tactics barely gets mentioned now?

It should not be forgotten how despicable a tactic that was. How low they would sink for preservation.

I share every word of this, couldn't have explained my position better. Fortunately for me, I remember the real Everton and will take that to the grave. I feel really sorry for the younger fans who are investing everything into a busted flush. I will always have a love for the Everton I remember, but these imposters can just hang there collective heads in shame for what they've done, I hate them.

Could well be go down this time around. We’ve had two very clear warnings, and not enough has been changed to avoid a repeat. The squad is atrocious and not fit for purpose. Those in charge of the club are clearly not up to the job. The club is dead on its feet and needs to be completely revamped, otherwise it may as well be liquidated, because what is the point as things stand?

For the second season running, we have gone into a new season totally unprepared for meaningful competitive football matches.

The squad is totally unbalanced in all the key areas, and not fit for purpose at this level. And so much for the Dyche fitness regime as well - we look miles off the pace and can't keep up with the pace of the game.

Why is this the case every year? Who is to blame?
I think that a major part of the problem is that nobody in the upper echelons actually knows what their , or anyone else's roles and responsibilities are. Combine this with astounding incompetence , and absolutely no accountability and you have this recipe for disaster.
It would seem that Kev is scouting players and not involving or consulting Dyche.
Kev himself is a Director of Football , in name only , as he cannot sign anything off regarding transfers , as this has to be done by our expert in transfer dealings , aka as our illustrious Chairman Bill , the ultimate bumbling buffoon .
This is then further complicated as our mercurial owner then seems to periodically muddy the waters by unilaterally having discussions with players agents himself.
Unbelievably unprofessional , but this is Everton.
God help us.

TBF this goes way beyond Moshiri... this goes back to the happy hamper guy and maybe before its just been amplified by Moshiri and his spend, spend, spend philosophy. It has been obvious for a while Kenwright is as much to blame, if not more so.. they are all part now of the same group.

Its why we have a team thats beyond woeful, will likely be relegated.

We 'Fans' - read mugs - have been well aware of where we are for some time can see we are buying poor quality players, and have been for at least 25 - 30 years on a sliding scale, downwards. Its as much to do with recruitment as it is with Moshiri / Kenwright etc - but they are the ones they have employed, rightly or wrongly advised.

Everton are just horrible.

Only people who are really stupid fail to learn lessons from their previous mistakes.

But that's ok because we've got Moshiri and Kenwright running the show.
I recall working with you in 2007 and stating how much I disliked blue bill then. Since then it’s been like a wonga loan interest with how much my dislike to him as gone.

In regards to Everton and failing to prepare it’s not just the last season or two. It’s been this way for years I would even argue in Moyes time because off the tossers in the board room whoever they maybe because let’s face it, just like the Tory government who are a prime example, this board doesn’t care about the community it’s in. It just sees the fans like the tories see people as pound signs.

I really don’t see how all this ends without relegation catching us up this season and sadly it’s going to be deserved.
