I keep hearing this mentioned, looks like it’s happening. I’m all for it, thought it was a stupid rule in the first place.

I just have one problem…. This current idiotic trend of throwing it in the air. I like a pint as much as the next man. I like it so much I “drink it”. I try not to spill any. I prefer not to bathe in it & come out stinking of it.

On balance, I’d rather not drink for 90 minutes than see that retarded bollox anywhere near me.

I can see the RS wearing those daft umbrella hats , just like when Klopp wore one whilst in Ibiza

….no strong feelings but initial thoughts are it not being the best idea. Somebody somewhere will throw a pint at a player on the pitch and it will be banned.

Hasn't stopped people lashing cups of tea etc

Don't see the problem - Go to Germany, which is the best football watching experience in Europe, and there's no issue with ale in your seat. In fact they supply cardboard beer carriers so you can carry lots at a time

Won't be long (maybe the new stadium) before you can order it to your seat via an app during the game

Will work fine until the first time an opposition whopper gets inudated with plastic pint glasses.

Surely they will add significantly to the clean up job afterwards.

Personally, I don't see the issue.

If they're concerned about fan safety, they need to realise that a large portion of the match going fan, will spend time consuming alcohol before the game. What makes stepping through the stand entrance, make this person any more anti-social than if they were in the concourse?

My initial muse on this was, as a Rugby League fan. When Wigan were in top flight, we could go to the Rugby League on a Friday and drink in your seat, no bother, but when Everton turned up the day after, it was banned. There's too much of a tarred brush on Football fans, and whilst some are idiots. I don't think 90 minutes of alcohol is going to change someone into an aggressive fan.
