Acceleration is probably more important than just top speed.

We are too slow as a whole though, always have been since the Moyes days and then Koeman lumbered us with a load of slow midfielders.

Even some of our better players like James Arteta Pienaar Cahill Richarlison etc. none have really been blessed with pace.

Barkley Lukaku Mirallas were the last attacking threats we had that could really run away from opponents.

Barkley Lukaku weren't quick. Mirallas was until his injury by Suarez.

One of the reasons they won the league was because they got lightning fast players who could deliver goals in Mane & Salah.

It wasn't rocket science.

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to that, wasn’t Jagielka the fastest player in the league by their metric for a few seasons when he was well into his 30’s?
