A big tin of licorice allsorts, socks and a beautiful framed pic of both daughters footprints accompanied by a lovely poem....
"Walk a little slower daddy,
Said a child so small.
I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."
....brought a tear to this old fools eye.
Some ballbag decided to hold the Race for Life in Bath today, so I got an early start, standing in the pissing rain for 45 minutes and a knackered and mardy as **** wife for the rest of the day. Not ace.
Just got the baby to bed and am pouring myself a Ardbeg. Ace.
2 chocolate oranges and some maltesers.
One thing that has irritated me today is people on Facebook putting on Happy Father's Day and going on about how amazing their Dad is etc. Why don't you just tell them in person or on the phone than publish it to everyone on Facebook for some reason. Really don't get it and that's why I can't stand Facebook with people telling me every single thing that happens in their life and everything they do.
Well, my daughter was born Wednesday, so I got sleep deprivation and sense of life purpose.
And fajitas.
