Christmas is coming and I remember the good old days when you could flick on the telly and live in the Rankin/Bass claymation universe for a few hours. Good times.

Whats your fave animated movie?

Me: The Incredibles. I love that film.

In terms of fun I would say Monsters Inc. In terms of groundbreaking cinematic genius it has to be Wall-e. Trust me, that film is going to be in all the top 10 lists over the next decade.

other than that, Belleville Rendez-Vous, is a bit brilliant!

I stumbled across it one night not intending to watch it, but i couldnt turn it over, it is sooooo clever and funny and great to look at, if you can find it check it out!!

Despite the fact its french, theres no actual french language in it!

Lots of animated films seem funnier than most of the recent 'adult' comedies to me.
Wall-E is ace
shrek was cool
Monsters inc. is superb
Also enjoyed Toy Story, and Ice age 2 had me laughing more than my daughter when I took her to see it

when's the last time you saw a real animated film, as in drawn rather than computer animated. i just recently realized that they don't seem to exist anymore, which is a shame because thats what i grew up with.

in terms of classic animation, my favourite has got to be the Lion King, i grew up with that movie and i still think its cinematic brilliance. though the part where his dad dies is a bit heavy for a kids movie.

for digital animation, i really liked the movie Antz
