Is there any building or monument you particularly admire in Liverpool or across the rest of Merseyside? We have some of the richest collection of buildings - especially in the city - and we should be more proud of them.

I've always liked the Littlewoods building on Edge Lane. An absolute colossus of art deco design.

It could be one of the garden suburbs we have in the metropolitan county which have always looked fantastic as examples of what can be done with housing...like Wavertree garden suburb...or something like the Port Sunlight model village..

Apparently it's this very building where the term 'red brick university' came from.
Would you describe that as gothic? I dont really associate Liverpool with gothic. I know the Anglican Cathedral is one of the biggest examples in the UK like but I associate it more with Manchester, whereas Liverpool I associate with neo-classical public buildings.

Ilm sure I'm wrong like and Liverpool has just as many or more gothic buildings than Manchester.
