In the UK maybe.
But I reckon Closing Time got more airplay and charted in more countries.

It was mad that they could fill stadiums in the states, but could barely fill a medium size venue here.
It was at the time when the footy casuals where well into stuff like the Smiths, the Bunnymen etc, so the concerts at the time would be a real mix of cultures.
But for some reason they never joined the group of “ acceptable “ bands at the time.
I’ve got to admit, I largely ignored them in my youth too and it was only much later on, that I got into them.
