Czech Police - got stopped a month back for not having the valid roadworthy test done on Mrs. BT's Fabia. Told them I was taking it to see my pal to fix and they agreed that this sounded plausible and let me go.

Are there any countries that you think have got it right mate? Who would you say sets the best example of law and order? Poll above.

Like I said... I don't have experience of elsewhere. I know that the gendarmerie have a sketch reputation for brutality.

If pushed to guess I'd say the Scandinavians always seem to get things right, so why not their police too, and I've heard the Dutch police aren't unnecessarily officious.
