Have my sympathies, caught it couple of months ago and put me on my back for a day or two. Also had that very weird nose sensation, like a numb / sensation headache behind my nose and under eyes. found out it was my sinuses and head bath / steam helped a lot. The sinus thing went then I couldn’t taste anything for weeks, went completely off food / flavours I’ve liked for years..

I've tested positive for covid and feel crappy. My usual go to recovery tactics are rest, loads of tea with honey, a spicy curry, crap films in a dark room, and lemsip. In no particular order.

What do you do GOT?*

*If I don't see yer mar, sawdust, horsegel etc on the first two pages I'll be disappointed.

Cover yourself in bin bags and ride around on your bike, screaming MURDERERS at everyone you see.

It won’t cure your covid, but you may get beaten to a pulp by someone and end up in intensive care, so will get the best and proper treatment.

I start by making sure I remind my wife that colds/flu (and in our cases Covid) are worse for men than women.

Start from the point of most amount of sympathy and milk it for all you can. And once that starts to wear off, then battle on.

Rapidly engage work private medical policy and usually end up with a camera up my bum and tinnitus. Seriously, I’ve cost them thousands.

As an aside, my sense of smell never came back and some foods/tastes are dulled after fairly mild Covid. Oddly I can’t smell or taste basil at all.

Pesto ruined? That would be brutal.

A mate of mine* used to be in the Marines and he used to hate posh people. Anyway one night he'd got lucky with a posh filly fingering in the taxi kind of gear and "ooh we have to be quiet" and this fella* quickly realised upon entering the residence in West Byfleet near Woking that a) her dad was an officer in the Army and b) they were bad horrible tories. It was a challenge for this young fella* so for fun he decided to [Poor language removed] in the living room because he thought it would be funny. Unfortunately for this fella* he got caught. "you dirty [Poor language removed]" "I'm so sorry love let me explain"

Needless to say, only time my mate has ever had to run without wiping. The dirty get.

Exactly that!!! Nothing there at all. Was a family staple.

Fortunately, strong red flavours like the greatest food of all, chorizo, are almost back to full strength 👍. Spice is there but sourness dulled.

Intrigued to know how much is permanently lost or “re-trainable”. But the long Covid care near me sounds utterly pathetic, and probably doesn’t exist any more. 9 month wait to be told sniff this tangerine skin and think of a time you had a tangerine. Then do the same with some coffee and try and remember having a coffee. Sounds properly well researched that does. To busy thinking about Maupays attempted overhead kick last week.
