Female fans getting hassle

It seems misogyny and general disrespect to women is on the rise lately unfortunately. One theory is dating apps have led to 18% of 30 year old men being virgins and another stating 30% of 18-30yo. This figure used to be 3%. Frustrations like this and less meaningful interactions with the opposite sex due to greater seclusion with online interaction a poor replacement for real life, has naturally caused a moral decay and loss of basic manners.
It doesn't help when many teenage boys are being heavily guided by the likes of Andrew Tate, and the most influential country in the world just elected a blatant misogynist and civilly liable rapist to the highest office.
A real shame you were treated that way at all, and among fellow Evertonians too highlights how pervasive this disrespect is now

Difficult when you’re feeling a bit vulnerable but would have been good to get some images of these embarrassing clowns as I would hope the club would take it up with the London Supporters club to see if they were known.

I think the real problem is the attitude of some people thinking they can do what they like, to whoever they want, when they are out on a day out. On a football Saturday I`d say the BTP would be well stretched trying to deal with the amount of people travelling to and from games. Its a shame that you can`t go to a game, have a good day out and get home without being harassed or attacked by some clowns on a train or in a bar.
Hope this incident dosen`t make anyone think of staying away from a game.

The problem is people. There are too many of them so you're more likely to come across idiots more often. Plus idiots are breeding at a faster rate than those with intelligence and idiots don't know how to relate to others nor bring up children properly. There's way too much entitlement since it became common to make young kids feel special over their most trivial accomplishments and call them "mate" or "princess", allowing them to become feral and asking them what they want all the time rather than adults showing leadership and demonstrating values.

Same principle applies though, if there were any images, I would hope the club would act in whatever they could.
As I said though easier said then done when you are the centre of unwanted attention.

Did think it sounded out of character for the LSC prawn sarnie brigade, blotto on Prosecco and abusing fellow blues.
Last bit is a joke again ffs!

That is shocking. Sorry you have had to experience this from men who can only be classed as vermin.

I would report it to the transport police.

I would also inform the club about it and hopefully they will put some kind of message out during games/programmes?

….that’s awful and dreadful to read. Not sure if it’s more indicative of the times we live in or it’s Everton but it’s important such incidents are exposed and good on you for doing just that.

I might be naive, but I’d hope that there’s still a few males with the right values who would call out such behaviour if they seen it. The perpetrators need identifying and reported.

As has been said above, there are certainly plenty of good guys around, despite the increase in bad behaviour from others.

In all seriousness, report it to the BTP on 0800 40 50 40. Any form of harassment, sexual or not, will be acted upon fairly quickly.

Yeah I get it. Sorry that happened to you. Nobody should ever feel threatened especially on public transport. Have you made a complaint to the police? I get it’s now over and thankfully nothing happened more sinister however if it stops it happening to a woman on her own again…..

I’ve gone through Avanti, but you are right, BTP is also something to consider.
