From carol singing to a drunk letting the New Year in; or trying to choke on grapes before the the end of the twelth chime, there must be some wonderful things go from those that post here at this time of year.

In Ukraine, and Eastern areas, they have the Hardening and the like which I have to say seeing this tradition in the link below that I offer my full support for this culturally important exercise.

Anyone ever tried this in the Alt?

If you live in Wales, at some point in December or January, you could open your door to find this lot stood there.

Seems our Welsh cousins enjoy a bit of Mari Lwyd (“Gray Mare”), a tradition in which a group of Wicker Man looking freaks will sing to you and then challenge you to a battle of rhyming insults in Welsh (apparently called a pwnco). After the contest, the party is usually invited inside for refreshments and grown up fun.

Another pair of reasons to stand with Ukraine.

Just to save anyone time who wants to research hardening techniques, that Tiktok account has no more videos of that instructor unfortunately.

Traditionally get sick at some stage.

I organised a get together with cousins last night at my house. Felt ill all day but didn't cancel. First guiness into me and i filled the sink with sick. Everyone was gone by 10:30pm.

In some parts of Liverpool it’s traditional to sneak into people’s houses in the early hours of Boxing Day and help them tidy up the Xmas mess by taking away all of the valuables for safe keeping and making room for all the new presents
In Wales it's tradition to wash the smell of sheep off your Penis.

2 years on the run now I’ve booked a night in Liverpool and will be hopefully carrying this tradition on for a few years.

Stayed in crown plaza, met my aunty and uncle for a few in the Black Barrel, then onto Pho for Vietnamese food which was delightful. Onto the Cavern and a few in there, a bar on Matthew ST where I embarrassed myself on karaoke then a couple more drinks, back to hotel for 11pm.

Splendid night all round, wonderful city.
