Downloaded update and typically it still doesn't work. Career mode won't even load anymore, so it's a step backwards. Loads to 96% (FFS!!!!) and freezes whole ps3 again.
Should I assume this save is disappointingly corrupt and have to start over? Or will this problem occur every bloody time?

I've had that on previous FIFA games a fair few times mate. I've always just had to delete the save slot and start again. I'd hoped they would have sorted that out by now. One of my saves on this game did the very same thing after about a season but I had another save slot slightly further back which has worked fine now, I'm presuming it's because there was an update in between, so maybe new save files won't do that any more.

Yeah I forgot to say that actually. I found If you have loads of save files then it's likely to corrupt, It's best to keep it to a maximum of 4 or 5 really.

Just had a look and realised i could probably get £75+ if i sell all my Ultimate Team players and then sell the coins on eBay.

Very tempted tbh. Bored of UT.

Started new career, v United, score in 82nd minute closing game out. Pause game to check something, come back and the controller freezes on me. Can't do anything in game, but can use the playstation menus. I mean for [Poor language removed] SAKE.

Got a decent enough UT there but this FIFA has bored me thus far.
Career mode was going well both Manager and Pro wise.
Play Pro Clubs more than anything, Best mode available.

I've got an Everton save going and a Rotherham who were in League 2 and are now in the Championship.

Top tip: Sign as many free players who are even remotely useful as possible, as they'll improve and you can sell them on. There should be a fairly decent CM called Ballon on the free transfers? Get him, he's improved to 73 for me now. Any young free players just sign them.

Thanks for the tip but I have virtually no wage allowance because I wanted to get those players in. Got Suso too. I'm thinking that if I do well in this season then they'll give me more money next season.

Personally I try not to get any loan players whatsoever as I see it as a waste of wages. I got about £3m to spend in League 1, as I won the FA Cup and League Cup, which is pretty good really. I've got a cracking little team now in the Championship, it's definitely more rewarding than winning everything with Everton season after season.

At the start of the transfer window keep an eye out for free players around 18 years old, they often have "Great Potential" next to their name if you click the left stick, these players will improve massively. E.g. I got two players at about 66 OVR for free, about £3k for wages, they improved up to 71 in half a season and are now worth £2.5m each.
