Really surprised at people saying it's so OVERLY similar to 14... Not found it to be that at all (well, outside of the fact that it's going to be inherently similar due to being the same sport and the same series of games) There's some pretty big changes in how the game feels and plays, imho
For me bar the obvious squad updates and downgrading players who Everton have signed-
FUT is exactly the same bar the addition of loan players. Same trophies, competitions etc.
Career mode seems to be exactly the same bar some menu changes.
I've not tried seasons yet but it looks the same when I had a quick look.
Skill games are slightly different, but get up to the advanced and even the situations are the same.
Gameplay. They've obviously listened and downgraded heading ability, making it more difficult initially to score every header. Although I've gotten used to it a bit now and can still score from most corners, which is ridiculous as both Baines and Mirallas can beat the first man in Fifa 15! They've improved the corners being able to do a few things before kicking it. Shooting is slightly different in the way you strike the ball, but again, once you get used to it, it's pretty close to being the same, the ball maybe just has a slightly different trajectory.
It is defo easier to dribble on this one, you can dribble past people with ease without even doing any skills. Pace is back to being an important factor and acceleration for defenders as they seem a little slower to react, or maybe that's just my under strength side.
The game for me has a more arcade feel to it than 14 and reminds me a lot of the World Cup FUT bit they had on 14. I get the feeling they could have easily patched 14 and come out with the same product.
If the lad doesn't play it loads and already has 14 then I'd not recommend getting 15. If you are going to play online a lot then fair enough get 15 cos you'll need people to play against.
