With fifa its naff on nintendo but much better on ps5

I've heard fifa and ea are finished too

Fifa23 on ps5 is quite good with change of kits etc - you can name a team and a budget and start in what ever league you want

Don't know what's going to happen in the future though with naming rights etc

Nothing is changing bar the name of the game

FIFA want extortionate money to call the game FIFA

@chrismpw you can use it to play multiple seasons. If you buy unknown young talent and they improve year on year to become a world beater (like 90 rating yo), you can then head straight to the transfer thread and demand Thelwell buys them. "Boss on fifa!".

It's 6x 10 minute games a week for a season. Hardly means I'm neglecting my shed!

What can you do with it?

For years I've used pro evolution soccer as my go-to, renewing it every few years or so. However with recent changes they've shot themselves in the foot and I can no longer do with it what I want to do without handing them a blank cheque.

Each year I run a league on my ps4 (or laptop), where I set up 12 British teams and play through a fixture list against the console - normally playing as the home team if one of my squads plays the other. I freely transfer players to make the teams ... to illustrate - Messi is currently on Notts Forest's books and sonetimes create and edit players and also edit kits. I can also set up my iwn cup competitions.

Can you do all of this this on Fifa?

Can you do it without being scammed by having to pay for extras (an absolute deal breaker)?

Does it stop working at the end of the season?

I'm not bothered about playing online etc. In fact I'd prefer if it works without an Internet connection altogether.

There seem to be a dozen versions of fifa each year .... which version should i look for is a) basic and b) allows me to do the stuff above.

Would appreciate knowledge from you fifa fanboys who know and I promise to stop looking down on you from my pro evo perch.
