Final game at Goodison - confirmed Sunday 18 May, 12PM

I’m not sure it’s going to be quite the wild west situation some people are forecasting myself but we’ll see. Hopefully people are sensible and the club and police are prepared just in case.
The "Wimbledon game" years ago people were bunking in left, right and centre all around the ground,
Jumping over turnstiles, double clicking, bribing stewards,
My brother had a ticket for the main stand, slipped the guy on the gate a few quid and lifted my then young son over the turnstile.
I fully expect the same thing to happen this time.

A lot has changed since that though. Security cameras, electronic scanning of tickets etc. doubt it's even possible to get over a turnstile these days. A few might chance it but it will be extremely difficult to say the least

The main problem is going to be the supporters without tickets surging the ground once the gates open at the end of the game.

Surely the club need to look into this as it’s inevitably going to happen

The club and police really do need to start making statements about what will happen to those who try to bunk in pre or during the match or just break in post match. Make it clear, there's going to be extra security and cameras in full force. Any idiots causing trouble will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Make it clear that they'll be more likely to see the iside of a prison cell then ever setting foot in BM if they can't grow up and behave themselves like adults.

The deadline to announce week 37 games was last Friday.
I assume that the decision on what to televise has been complicated by the fact that they won't know who will be in the FA Cup final for another 2 weeks. Maybe they will rule out covering the City, Villa, Forest and Palace games. That would leave the following to choose from:

Arsenal v Newcastle
Brentford v Fulham
Brighton v the RS
Chelsea v Man U
Everton v Soton
Leicester v Ipswich

Maybe with Friday night, Monday night and three Sunday slots (12.30, 5.30 and 8)?

There were only 3 stands though, so there were roughly 9000 less tickets available than there would be now. It hasn't happened to that extent at the Coventry, Palace, or Bournemouth games, I mean there'll definitely be a bit of it like, and I'm not saying theres no chance of it being worse than that, just that I don't necessarily see it as being a given the way some people seem to. Obviously if some of the people on here get their way and it's not on TV that would exacerbate the problem massively, but as long as it is I think a lot of people would be content to watch it from the comfort of their home/the pub and not feel the need to travel to the ground.

And if the title is still on they'll want Liverpool on as main game. If it's decided then that's a dead rubber..they'll try and hang fire.

Can’t be Friday https://talksport.com/football/1833683/fa-cup-final-moved-schedule-changes/

why wouldn’t we want it to be a weekend for our final game tho?!
The club asked for the game to be the week before the end of the season, so that it could be an event widely covered by the media and at the forefront of people's minds, rather than just happening at the same time as all the other games and being lost in the general last day of the season drama. It's not that they didn't want it at a weekend, just that they didn't want it to be one of 10 games happening at the same time and so going under the radar. Some of our fans really want it to go under the radar though for some reason.
