Because it's in Halewood, Knowsley. Not Liverpool, very very strange as to why they'd buy it

Good investment for the city, with a guaranteed return annually, and a solid potential sale profit in 4 years when, with turnover boosted by massively increased TV revenue, our new board will exercise it's option to buy.

or we'll carry on in the current state for the next 45 or so years. Yay Bill.

Bit of an odd move for LCC to buy it though.

Not if it's LCC's pension fund which has bought it. Guaranteed income for more than 40 years. Current payments are something like £1.4m a year (so >10% annual return straight off), and those payments rise 2.5% a year (compounded and applied every 5 years).

The only really surprising thing is the price being so low. You'd expect an asset generating that kind of safe return to go for a higher amount...unless there's some doubt as to whether the tenant will continue to be able to pay it?

we didnt we cough up the £13million? im sure in 4 years time when we get the chance to buy the lease, we wont get it as cheap as £13million,

Plus Liverpool City Council cant afford to fix potholes but can buy finch farm??

It's a logical investment as they'll make back the money they have invested and then some.

Why would Liverpool city council buy it if it's in Knowsley? Confused

Why would an entity that can decide to build on it or not buy it up after they had ruled against the club selling it to developers to build on and reap the benefits(majority the club ).....

wait a second, i can get this.......

wait......
wait...
