Instead of creating a thread when I need advice from an expert in a specialist subject I thought I’d create a thread to ask if anyone is available to discuss such things

Do we have anyone who works in mortgages? Mortgage advisor or lenders? I need some advice that doesn’t require sawdust.

Yes mine did - they promised me enough money to buy a new car - a new conservatory etc fell short by 2 grand which was a fortune back then used Google & a guy from the guardian newspaper got me my money back first cases of PPI .....

if you want to refinance, skip a payment and then go talk to them. That lets them know that you mean business and threaten to do it again if they don't fold quickly and offer you a substantial rate reduction.
