With Ron Koeman about to be announced as our new manager / head coach and talk being bandied around that Mr Moshiri wants to make a "statement signing " who , realistically do you think this will be?

Will we wait to appoint a DOF before making a move in the transfer market ?

I'll start you off.

My hope is for Juan Mata. He is probably realistic in terms of fee and availability but perhaps not wages.

However IMO he would be a fantastic addition to the team and completely change the way we play. Although a foreign player he knows the league , speaks English and is charismatic.

It would also be a huge statement.

Totally agree on Mata.

I think of any 'marquee' signings, this is one we could really pull off.

He likes it in the north west and Manchester in particularly, but I just can't see him getting in the team under Mourinho. If we make a move for him we're getting a player in his prime age who could do with re-finding his form, but also has bags of quality.

First off though, we desperately need a goalkeeper.
