First Trip to Goodison - Any Tips?

Any suggestions on must-see gameday experiences or can't miss spots around Liverpool? Anything is helpful.

The fan zone in the park end usually have entertainment on around 2-3 hours before kick off. You've always got Liverpool city centre afterwards with plenty f things to do on a Sunday afternoon. What is it you're looking to do?

If you like a drink, go into any pub around Goodison, there'll be plenty of people to chat to.

Thanks! We will be in the Bullens Road stand. LB5. I am sure we will enjoy it, but 3 points would make it perfect.

Pre-match bevvy, a tray of curry and chips from one of the fine upstanding establishments in Goodison Road, splash a few quid in William Hill by the church, and enjoy the game. Although if you don't fancy the curry and chips, you could have a foot long hot dog in the ground (not recommended). Hope you enjoy the experience.

Thanks. Just want to get the feel for the matchday experience and have a few drinks with some fellow evertonians. We will make sure to stop in the pubs before the match. Would like to see the sights of Liverpool as well, so we will check out the city centre.

I would say go for a few drinks on County Road

You have to do a lap of the stadium before you go in

Whole history of the club is on the side of that building

Oh and getting a picture with the Dixie Dean statue is a must (And Changy the Elephant, if he's about)

...tourists seem to like Matthew St area, listening to Beatles tribute bands whilst having a few beers. Whatever you do I hope its an enjoyable trip.

The museum is big, and well worth a visit, not too far the centre and free admission. ^^^^What he said about Matthew Street.

You'll enjoy it mate,you've chosen a decent game to go to. Just make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare so you can have a few pints in any of the pubs on/near County rd then a little walk around the ground and absorb it all in. Hopefully we'll get the 3 points as well.

And we want to here you singing USA USA USA whenever Tim has the ball or does a save!

Whatever else you do, make sure you wander round the outside of the stadium for half an hour or so before the game and take in the history and atmosphere of the Old Lady we all love. Your first time is special, you'll be grinning like a maniac. Enjoy.
