First Trip to Goodison - Any Tips?

You have to do a lap of the stadium before you go in

Whole history of the club is on the side of that building

Oh and getting a picture with the Dixie Dean statue is a must (And Changy the Elephant, if he's about)

This, although you might as well swerve the last quarter of it as its full of guff like "Blues sign James Beattie" and "Bill Kenwright claims he's the biggest blue"

Sound mate. Let us know how you get on.

I'll even let you write your story in my "football diary" thread in the ale house! ;)

If you have time have a read of it. Some cracking stories from my trips so far and I've started to take pictures now.

Must have missed them cracking stories.

In the centre of town, Thomas Rigby's on Dale Street is a good Blue pub, mate. Friendly, civilised, full of character.

If you're in London, I'll have a pint with you if I can make it. Give me a shout.

Thanks for all the great responses mates. Great info and very helpful. Looking forward to the experience of a lifetime. I'm just glad I was born an evertonian.

Good to meet another US Toffee fulfilling a dream to go to Goodison! I'll be at the derby in November, sitting Gwladys Street. Wish you luck!

I recently visited Goodison Park by myself for the first time from Australia for the Chelsea game, you are in for a treat! Quite possibly the best sporting event I have ever attended and be prepared to be in awe of the supporters in the Gwladys street end. Plus the pubs around the area are all full of friendly blues!

If you want to see, have an autograph and maybe take a photo with some of the players, be in the parking lot outside Park End 2-2,5 hours before the game.
