Not to mention Grealish. Rice at CDM, Mount at number 10, Foden on the right, Grealish on the left, Kane up front. With a half decent manager that team should be competing for major tournaments.
Sancho and Bellingham as well, and both would get in ahead of Grealish and Rice imo as they've performed at a higher level. Throw in Rashford and Sterling plus the likes of DCL, Morrison, and even Lingaard who are knocking on the door, with Greenwood, Abraham a bit further back and it is a wealth of attacking resources.

People always forget to add Sancho to the list. Equally talented as all those.
For me he should be on the left, Foden on the right, with Kane in the middle. Then have a midfield three of Mount, Bellingham, and either Rice or Henderson and you've got a cracking attack there, especially as you could call on Sterling, Rashford, Grealish et al from the bench. With a couple of very good attacking full backs as well, the attacking options really are exceptional.

Yep agreed. I would probably go with that exact same set up too TBH. I would only say Rice or Phillips rather than Rice or Henderson.

Mount and Foden are both incredibly exciting players. England truly have a great future, really.
Not to mention Sancho, Bellingham, Saka, Rice, James.

All 22 or under.

Our current U21 squad could be

Ramsdale
TAA, James, Godfrey, Saka
Rice, Bellingham
Sancho, Mount, Foden
Greenwood.

More special players coming through younger groups too. It's quite scary how good this England team could become. Think it's already outgrown Southgate and we need somebody like Pep to manage them in future.

No question about Rice for me. Most improved player this season in my opinion, albeit Mount, Foden and Grealish are all pushing him hard. Take him out of that west Ham team and they would be nowhere near their current position. I reckon he'll go for over £60m this summer to either City, United or Chelsea and will be a regular starter for any of them. He's been the best holding midfielder in the Premier league this season.

Shouts for England to win the Euros are not realistic IMO. Most likely we'll be coming up against the winner of France's group either in the round of 16 or the QF depedning on how we do in our own group. France, Portugal or Germany would all beat us in a knockout match IMO.

Not good enough defensively imo. Back four of Walker, Stones Macquire and Chilwell ok but not top international level. No strength in depth.
