Just had home made spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread and washed down with half a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Bellissimo.

True ? And what about other confectioneries ?

This would make sense. In general, the warmer a food is, the sweeter, and vice versa. It's something to do with how taste buds work. Ice cream may be lovely from the freezer, but too sweet when melted.

Milky Ways taste far too sweet for me now that I'm not seven years old anymore, so I could well believe that the are nice when frozen. If I was keeping an eye on what I was eating I'd much rather have something else for the same "cost" in grams of sugar or calories or whatever.
