It died for me years ago when Moyes/Kenwright were clearly indicating to fans at times that we should "Know our place" and be happy for the "Good times". God forbid we show some actual ambition as a club. I prefer watching the Championship these days, lots of good young talent, any team can beat another on any given day and no VAR! I'm finding the PL is just an utter car crash these days.

I find myself going to more league one fixtures, than I thought I would. Just because its relatively uninterrupted, fast paced and doesn't add another [insert number here] minutes onto the end of each half, due to VAR

I agree with this thread. I'm genuinely getting to the point that I'm not arsed if we go down.

Obviously the new stadium is a huge issue with that mindset because I'd worry we'd never be able to pay back the loans we've taken on without the premier league money.

So it feels like we're stuck needing the prem, but that is becoming one of the only reasons I want to stay in this circus.
