Football stadiums you've watched football in...

Forgot also to add Red Bull Arena and Giants Stadium in New Jersey. Giants stadium is not officially a football stadium obviously but I saw NY Red Bulls v LA Galaxy there. Was Beckham's first season there so huge crowd. Beckham spent 90 minutes slowly walking up and down the right wing and was more interested in mouthing off at fans on the sidelines than the actual match.

and a handful of European aways. Done quite a few non league grounds but couldn't tell you all of them, and a few more European grounds watching random games.

To many to mention so i thought i'd just list the away days following Everton to the grounds that no longer exist.

Maine road.
Roker park.
Ayresome park
The dell.
Highfield road(still remember kopite mick quinn dancing right in front of me. Nailed on he'd score)
Highbury
Upton park
White hart lane
The manor ground.
The den
Plough lane.

I 've done around 58 off the top of my head, not that I can remember many of them, most in the 70's and 80's so quite a few of the original grounds. The joys of supporting a team who have had spells in the top 3 league. Maybe I should have been a Wolves supporter then I would have had the top 4 leagues to visit.

I`ve clocked up north of 90 different grounds since I started traveling to games. I always liked to go to grounds with a bit of character or in places you would have no reason to go to and go just for a game. While there are lots of new grounds built that seem fantastic, I still like the older grounds as the old grounds all seemed to have there own distinctive features. Fulham is a nice ground and I liked going to Charlton too (very basic but felt like a proper football ground.
In Italy you get some very odd looking grounds considering it would be regarded as one of Europes top leagues. Went to see Brescia when they were in Serie a a few years back and their ground is an outdated, run down bowl shaped stadium, with temporary seating on 3 sides inside the bowl. Not to be outdone, Cagliari have a complete stadium with temporary seating on 4 sides as they demolished their old ground and are still waiting to start building their new ground.

The only ones i have been that i haven't seen mentioned here yet:

Heidewaldstadion (FC Gutersloh)
Bielefelder Alm (Arminia Bielefeld)
Preussenstadion (Preussen Munster)
Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez (CD Tenerife)
Antonio Dominguez Alfonso (CD Marino)
Stair Park (Stranraer)

Goodison
The Pit
Prenton Park
Rossett Park
Deva Stadium
Deepdale
Crown Ground
The Emirates
Craven Cottage
Etihad
Villa Park
Molyneux
John Smith's
St Mary's
King Power
Ashton Gate
Cardiff City
Bet365
Liberty
The Hawthorns
The Valley
The Memorial Grd
The DW
St James Park (Exeter)
Vale Park
Johnny Rocks
Madejski
The Reebok
The New Lawn
Gresty Rd
Huish Park
Moss Rose
Boundary Park
The Creek (Bristol Manor Farm)
Wembley (old & new)
Millennium Stadium (play off and cup games during the Wembley rebuild)
The Nou Camp
Princes Park (PSG)
Jan Breydel Stadium (FC Bruges)
Providence Park (Portland Timbers)
Cairo International Stadium (Zamalek, shared ground)
Centernary Stadium (Malta - Sirens FC, shared ground)

Also White Heart Lane (old), Highbury and Upton Park.

Plenty I still want to get to, but not a bad haul that on reflection.

There’s been a lot but some interesting ones:

The Valley circa 2001, still the worst ground/away end I’ve ever been to

St Andrews probably around the same time, getting searched for bombs as a 7 yearold before entering was peak war on terror

The original San Mames in Bilbao

Stade Louis 2 in Monaco, bizarre atmosphere

York Road in Maidenhead, the oldest continuously used stadium, my dad was recently there sat directly in front of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McIlheny and took a selfie asking me why people kept taking photos of them

Estado do Dragao Porto, insane atmosphere and Super Bock at your seat

Highbury, I’ve seen Arsenal win the league twice from the home end there, everyone thought childhood me was crying with happiness but it was actually because Everton had been webbed 17-0 for the millionth time against Arsenal

New Spurs ground for the NFL, SO much better than the traditional stadiums NEA, imagine good food and beer at a stadium

The Hawthorns West Brom, I weirdly liked the stadium a lot but getting kettled out down a tiny alley way made from railings like it was peak hooliganism was really weird and tying to get food in the post apocalyptic West Brom town centre is not advised

The Britania, Stoke. Oh man. Always in winter and there’s a gigantic hole opposite the way end letting in that lovely cold hellhole air. The stadium built on a no name classic industrial estate is just great and I love how it takes 2 hours to get your car onto the motorway when the games over
