That Vukcevic looks immense. I'll have to find him on my game.
Glad there's an FM thread. Can get into pure nerdy tactical discussions, and talk of glories passed.
Speaking of which, just finished my first season at City.
Finished a respectable 3rd in the league (United pissed it), and won the UEFA Cup to boot (against the Blues in the final). Got knocked out at the first hurdle in the FA Cup by Bristol (who just came up to the Premier as champions), and battered in the quarters of the Carling cup by Spurs. (got my revenge knocking them out of Europe).
It's summer atm, having a bit of trouble keeping Micah Richards, wants to go to Arsenal, and all the lads I signed last year who performed stunners have been sharked around by Barca, Real, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter et al. So that's not fun.
Anyway, pictures.
First off, the final standings. Not even 8 straight victories at the end of the season could catch Arsenal, who won 12 (WTF). Unbeaten at home.
Signings. Zhirkov was the one, but Vagner Love, Palombo and Srna were also huge. Got rid of a lot more dross in 09/10, signed Cardozo, Veloso, Burdisso and Chivu.
Team sheet. Craig Bellamys scoring record is deceiving. He scored 9 of those in the UEFA cup. Wouldn't have won it without him.
Yury Zhirkov. English, Fans and World player of the Year.
Vagner Love. English golden boot. Confederations cup golden boot.
Dario Srna, captain fantastic.
Angelo Palombo. Played a tonne of games, was our playmaker, everything we did went through him, and look at that pass completion rate. Champagne footballer.
And the UEFA cup, sorry abar that Everton.
Oh, and it's worth noting, the FA Cup final was Everton v Chelsea. But Chelsea won AET...
