footy players wearing snoods/neck warmers - where do we stand?

They can wear curlers in their hair for all I care, as long as they put the effort in

Oh and as for the wages, It's obviously wrong that footballers from 30+ years ago have to work in their old age, but we've gone form one extreme to the other. The argument that it's a short career doesn't really wash when some of them are making enough in a month to last any of us the rest of our lives. They should be compensated for the sacrifices they make but not to that extent imo.

I notice rent a quote Holloway has stated today that he 'wouldn't wear a snood because it makes you look like a bit of a ponce'. Roy Keane has banned them at Ipswich. Are they right, and would it bother you if an Everton player wore one?

Amazing how a Russian player needs a scarf to warm himself up, doesn't a quart of Vodkat do that for you anyway?

I really need more coffee (or maybe less). I actually merged this thread in my head with the one about things that annoy you in football. Doh.

It's perhaps not them that bothers me....just the type of player that WOULD wear one

Obviously not everyone, but sometimes it strikes me that the type of player wearing them wouldn't really be that fussed about getting stuck in, if needed, if you know what I mean......massive generalisation from me there =)

You've got a point there mate. If they get mud on their snoods, they are hardly gonna carry on wearing it thru the game risking eating mud pie, so they'll change it if it gets dirty. Hence suggesting they don't want to get muddy, and therefore don't want to get stuck in.

Theres method in the muggins you know...

Ha, it's true I'm telling ya! The one player I thought who would wear one, but also get stuck in was Tevez.....Snodin obviously thinks different, ha
