Lentini was unreal. Had a massive car crash in his early 20s and he was obviously never the same after that, awful stuff.

Not having footballers are better these days...fitter yes, individually more skillful and technically better...no.

Two Brazilian forwards come to mind: Mario Jardel and Elber. Prolific forwards I can remember when I was growing up but only 10 and 15 caps for them respectively. Just goes to show how good Brazilian Ronaldo was, I guess.

That era of Serie A in the early 90s at the same time the PL was getting going with fergies kids, us signing proper exciting players like Kanchelskis it feels like a million miles away

Huddle was around then as well. Maybe towards the end of his career in 1990.

Taylor then dropped Beardsley and Waddle and played Carlton Palmer and Andy Sinton.
