Foreign Managers

Other than England, how many teams in this world cup have foreign managers?

The African teams still tend to go this way. I saw an interview with one South African ex-player who said this was because the foreign coaches were the only ones that could be trusted to deal with things in a non-corrupt way. He didn't elaborate on that, which is a shame.

I've heard an interview about something along the lines of that - they preferred foreign coaches with a higher reputation as they weren't asking for autographs, photos etc.

That was it, yeah. Sounded a bit reactionary. If it'd have been from a white person you'd think the worst.

The reason i ask if because Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Spain all have managers from their country and they all play great football. Were England have a coach that isn’t English and the football England play isn't the way the prem teams play. I think home grown managers seems to do better than teams with foreign coaches

Steve McClaren is a prime example of this....... NOT !!

England needs an English manager that understands the game. I know we had McLaren as England coach last time and he failed to qualify for the euros but he was never the right man for the job. The fans didn't want him nor did the players. Now we have 2 really good choices in Roy Hodgson and Harry Redknapp, who both could inspire are pre-madonna’s and our young kids to perform
