He was a better Everton manager than his kopite predecessor, and isn't that saying something? Perhaps if the board gave Frank the players that he wanted, then things might have different.

Fluke champions league wins from nearly twenty years ago are totally irrelevant. Frank Lampard as bad as he was overall was a better Everton manager than Senor Benitez.

I think there is a role for him as some sort of a Sporting Director at a club. He seems good at convincing players to come to a club and understanding what a club is about, he just isn't a very good manager.

Good advice. Think this type of experience would really help him. Similar to Marsch learning the trade with Rangnick
