A thread for former players who have now gone into management/coaching. Where are they? How are they doing?
Which players do you think would have made good managers?
Do you think any of them we be good enough come back to the Club in the Future?
Brentford sack Dijkhuizen and place Carsley in charge
Brentford have sacked head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen and placed Lee Carsley in charge for the rest of the season.
Dijkhuizen took over in June following the departure of Mark Warburton, who steered the Bees to the Championship play-offs last season.
But the Dutchman has left Griffin Park after just eight league matches, of which his team managed two wins.
His final game at the helm saw Brentford lose 2-1 at home to a last-minute Sheffield Wednesday goal on Saturday.
Dijkhuizen’s assistant Roy Hendriksen has also left the club, while Carsley has been promoted from Under-21 boss and will be assisted by Paul Williams.
Former Republic of Ireland international Carsley, 41, made more than 150 appearances for Everton during a six-year spell at the Merseyside club.
Carsley also played for Derby, Blackburn, Birmingham and Coventry.
