This forum has been blocked at work cause it thinks that it is a gaming web site. Is there any key/search words on the site that indicate this?

If you want to see the metadata which search engines and filtering sites are using to categorise web sites then I'd recommend using http://www.serverinfo.com/metadata

I contacted the supplier of the filter (dell) and told them to change the category of this web site (to sports), appears to have worked.
