All good forums need a reasonable turnover of regular posters. It keeps the banter fresh, allows different opinions and points of view etc.

Some of those mentioned were banned - nobody is banned without justification. Sometimes people just get stale and then try to provoke other posters and be deliberately contentious.

I don't believe it's healthy for a forum to get too cliquey - see the 'is there a clique' thread, and the 'old guard' possibly did, putting off new people from posting.

There was another thread recently about founding members of the football league that are in the premiership - Wolves and Burnley make it a record number for next season - but to use an analogy on the theme of this thread, would Accrington Stanley be a valuable addition to the premiership??

I am not saying it would not be good to have these posters back, regular posters can become good mates, and there is a little bit of sentimentality about founders, but let's look to the future, and welcome new members to what is definitely the best EFC forum on the web.

Posted via Mobile Device No mate, ain't got access to a PC these days so cant e-mail him like i used to. Hope the old bugger is in good health, i miss the banter we used to have, witty as [Poor language removed] old Monty and a true blue. Just imagine Neiler if they all came back! Happy days eh!

Aye mate, we used to have some banter, remembering the evenings there was about five of us on the whole forum.

Dont know what happened to Rob he made a breif comeback about a year ago and hasnt been seen since, pity he was an ace poster.

And he loved to post pictures of any cute japanese he could find... :P

I put a lot of thought and effort into my earlier post, I used some big words and everything. (y)

Does nobody disagree/agree/have an opinion, or have I stumbled into a clique thread in error.

If so I truly apologise for encroaching and please ignore :D

Posted via Mobile Device haha big words and everything eh! Lol. ( effing hate using that lol thing but no smilies on mobile). Of course i agree, a regular turnover of posters is essential otherwise it does become stale. The four i mentioned though are badly missed, at least in my opinion they are, with them around no forum would go 'stale', along with a few others they helped to make this site what it has become, namely the best Everton forum there is and for that they deserve some credit. Ps. It goes without saying that without Danny and Dylan those lads i mentioned wouldn't have had a forum of this quality at all to post in.

I don't know what the real reason was behind Rob quitting the forum. He had come back for awhile but I think that he got tired of some of the threads, especially the political ones so he just said screw it and moved on.

Monty got crossways with a few folks on here and just said screw it and moved on.

Ghost and Suits are pretty much known.

Agreed. I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek there.

Every forum needs it's foundation of experienced members that know the 'culture' of the forum and it's personalities, and they are a loss if they go elsewhere.

Full credit to Danny and Dylan, and the other mods, for creating nd maintaining this excellent forum.

Only forum member of the four mentioned I know is/was Ghost. I'm sure, a while ago there was a thread about approaching and bringing back the founder members. Agree with Lao though (especially this part: I am not saying it would not be good to have these posters back, regular posters can become good mates, and there is a little bit of sentimentality about founders, but let's look to the future, and welcome new members to what is definitely the best EFC forum on the web) , but would like to have known those GOT members mentioned.

When I next see monty online on the other forum I'll send your regards, gents. And I echo the sentiments about him and Rob - both added quality and enjoyment to this forum.

Danny, you know the "other forum" I'm talking about that monty posts on under another name - we bumped into each other there a few months ago.

He sounds like a good lad. Did you give him too many infractions and piss him off by any chance?

If you look on the member list under advanced search you can see the 'founding members'. Rob was 2nd on after Danny. Shame he's not around, him and Shampoo the dog were cool. Dylan, Chico and Monty are next in line, with Blair and Rodders not far behind. All top members. The place has done really well since breaking off from the car crash that was the TW forum.

The TW forum was good, it just used to crash every other day, and lose ALL of its data.

Does anyone remember Chike? Now that lad was funny.
